Can toddlers get cradle cap?

DS (2.10) has lots of very fine hair - it always looks like it's just been brushed, so I never brush it. But I combed it the other day, because it needed cutting, and found a couple of patches that look like cradle cap - yellow waxy flakes. When I removed some of them, a few strands of attached hair came with them. Anyone know what it is? Should I take him to the doctor?

sounds like cradlecap. boots do a really good cream. my ds (2) has it in places. ask the chemist.

Ds still has some patches of cradle cap - like you say, waxy patches. HV has commented on them and we've used that shampoo. It's gradually going as his 'proper' hair grows (not the baby fine stuff IYKWIM)

yep cradlecap. my ds aged 3.5 still gets it sometimes. we still use dentinox shampoo sometimes this seems to clear it up.

Ohm yes, they certainly can still get it. Olive oil & brushing usually sorts it out - I'd try that before anything else

Cool - I'll stick with the olive oil for now, and try dentinox if it doesn't work. Thanks for the reassurement!
