Can you look at some blood results?

Hi,
First off, I have Hashimotos, a platelet disorder, a gastric issue that I'm waiting for a camera for and I'm assuming I'm anaemic looking at these results?

I'm on 125mg levothyroxine and 1 esomeprazole a day and gaviscon.
I have horrendous heavy periods.

If this were your results, what would you want to do supplements wise?
GP ringing later to discuss iron meds.
My symptoms are bone crushing fatigue, palpitations, breathlessness, restless legs, sore bones and muscles and the urge to eat soil 🙈

Your T4 is low - this will be making you very tired and contributing to muscle pains.

Your TSH is too high

your Vit D is low - should be 90 plus

You need to speak to your GP about increasing your Levo, so that your TSH comes down and your T4 increases.

You need to take Vit D & K2 to increase your Vit D

You need to join and read Thyroid UK on Health Unlocked - amazing resources on Hashimoto’s and very knowledgeable members who will help advise how to optimise your results and engage with your GP to adjust your Levo.

Good luck. I’ve got Hashimoto’s and it took me nearly two years to get the right balance of meds. I was so unwell and bedridden when I was initially diagnosed. My blood results were awful. It’s not easy but once you’re on the right dose for you, you will feel so much better.

Your haemoglobin and ferritin are too low, so you need iron tablets or an infusion.
Vit D is low, buy some high dose supplements and take daily.
Tsh is too high, so they need to adjust your thyroxine dose and retest in 6-8 weeks time.

Thank you both
The doctor is ringing me on the 10th to sort but I'll start some supplements right away.

Pretty much all those symptoms you list are hypothyroid ones.

Your TSH is way too high, should be around 1.0.
Your ferritin is very low, should be around 90.
Folate again is very low.
Vit D too low, should be around 100.
FT4 based on the range I am familiar with looks to be way too low, which is why your TSH is elevated.

Overall, classic hypothyroid deficiencies (I know, I too have Hashi's). You'll need time and quite a lot of supplementing, plus going onto thyroid hormone replacement in order to feel better.
