Can any health/kidney people advise on these results pretty please?!

Hi knowledgeable people! I’d like to pick your brains please. I had full blood count done at the end of Jan for various reasons. Gfr and creatinine all good. I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes though. Yesterday I had a follow up blood test for my diabetes (HBA1C) and it is now completely normal-woohoo! (I have lost over 3 stone to get here!).

BUT…my urine results say my microalbumin is too high (5.2). Can this be a result of eating lots (and I mean lots!) of eggs to help with diabetes and weight loss or have I suddenly got kidney issues the blood test didn’t show in Jan? 🙈

I have been so happy today that my diabetes is completely reversed (blood-wise, for now) and my liver function test (fatty liver) was also normal due to eating well and losing weight, but now am back on a downer and can’t speak to a doctor for 2 weeks!

Please reassure me it’s just the eggs…

Thank you!

Dehydration; fever; exercise; heart failure; poor glycemic control; inflammatory states, such as small injuries and toothaches; along with increases in dietary sodium and protein can increase urinary albumin levels.

Thank you, yes I have read that too. None of those things apply, so wondering if it’s really possible that despite my bloods (kidney wise) being great less than 3 months ago, and eating healthily, losing over 3 stone and drinking huge amounts of water, that I could have suddenly developed a kidney issue (protein in my urine). I’m thinking (and hoping!) it’s due to eating lots of protein. Annoying to have to wait 2 weeks to speak to someone, feeling fed up despite my amazing diabetes and liver results, and just wondering if anyone knows any more than me.

Thank you
