Any take Ivabradine for POTS or inappropriate sinus tachycardia?

I've been prescribed Ivabradine by my cardiologist for POTS and have to pick it up from the chemist later today. Has anyone taken this before and did it help? Did you have any side effects? Tbh I'm quite nervous about taking something that messes with your heartrate. I haven't even gotten to speak to a Dr about it as my consultant just sent me a letter saying he think I should take it, then my GP prescribed it and let me know via text. So any experiences with it would be great!

I've just had the same prescribed. How is it going? I was on beta blockers before, but I'm giving this a try.

I was told I could go free of anything but would likely see a surge to start with if i came off them. I'm not sure how I feel about this (my HR is almost always over 100 and much much higher when active) but I also don't want to be on tablets all my life.

I have POTS. It's fantastic at controlling my heart rate, although it hasn't fixed my orthostatic intolerance (lightheadedness, nausea, overheating etc) but I do feel less like I'm running on the spot all the time.

The only side effect I sometimes get in lower lighting is like a light trail of what I've just seen when I move my head. It's minor and lessened over time. I would avoid driving at night to begin with though.

Other than that, no problems. No tiredness or bp drops like with beta blockers. It actually seems to have stabilised my BP which was previously all over the place.

Yes, I passed out on the tilt table and was diagnosed with inappropriate sinus tachycardia with vasovagal syncope. I was prescribed fludrocortisone 100mcg and ivabridine - initially 2.5mg but now up to the max dose of 15mg split in two doses. No side effects and it's brought my HR right down. Prior to diagnosis I was having a HR of 160 if I walked up an incline of any sort, and 140 if I loaded the dishwasher.
