Random one - hayfever - can it make your joints ache?

Just that really. Got really painful joints and also noticed my other hayfever symptoms are strong today. Any possibility it's linked?

I am generally of th eopinion that hay fever can do all kinds of shitty things, so... maybe?

But it's more likely, at best, a secondary impact. Eg due to hayfever, without realising it, you were sleeping in odd positions as you couldn't breathe properly.

Also, did you know joint pain can be a sign of peri menopause. Another fun fact i discovered recently.

It absolutley can. Hayfever/ seasonal allergic rhinitis had symptoms which extends way beyond stuffiness, sniffs, sneezes, runny nose and itchy eyes. It can cause extremely severe symptoms ranging to painful aching joints, extreme fatigue and even episodes of loss of consciousness. For some it's much more than a local issue and is much more systemic.

Do you think I need to go to a doctor about it? I'm going to take an antihistamine tonight and see if that helps

I personally would take appropriate antihistamines for several days when pollen levels are high and s if they help. Du you have other allergy symptoms? Has this happened before? Might you be unwell in another way? It's hard to say. If you seen befall I but it's the joints I'd definitely see if his l good antihistamine fit a few days help but only you can be the judge. Fexofenadine ( allevia) is good.
