I want to buy a couple of supplements. I know which vitamins/minerals. But there are SOooooo many on sale. How do I know the high quality ones from the low quality ones (fillers etc)?

Any solid recommended brands out there please?

To know if a supplement is high quality or low quality:

  1. Check the Brand: Choose supplements from reputable and well-known brands. Avoid unfamiliar or sketchy brands.
  2. Look for Certifications: Check if the supplement has certifications like USP Verified, NSF Certified, or GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) certified.
  3. Read the Ingredients: High-quality supplements have clear ingredient lists with no unnecessary additives or fillers.
  4. Research the Company: Look up the company's reputation and see if they have a history of quality and transparency.
  5. Consult a Professional: Ask your doctor or a nutritionist for recommendations on trustworthy supplement brands.

Viridian
Solgar
Pukka
Terranova
biocare
higher nature

lots of others too.

depends what you’re after really.

I think it is about where you buy them from too. There are a lot of fakes out there.

I was told any Vitamin D tablet would be fine as long as it had the daily recommended amount, so we had the Valupak brand (99p for a months supply) from our local chemist. I trusted my pharmacy but if i'd seen it online I wouldn't iyswim.

It also depends on how it's delivered. I swear by mouth sprays now (Better You), rather than trying to swallow large tablets.

What @Lettywilliams said.

Mainly check for fillers. You want ideally a fully natural supplement (not genetically generated) and you want it to be just the supplement, not a load of fillers you don't want or need.
