NHS Upper blepharoplasty

I’ve been referred to the Ophthalmology department at Kings to see if I would be considered for an Upper blepharoplasty on the NHS. My eyes lids are awful and my Optitian said that they are now covering half of my pupil.
Has anyone had the assessment done and what was it like? I can’t believe this is something the NHS would do so I’m really interested to hear any stories. I can see ok but I do look grim.

I know two people who had this done for this reason, both on the NHS.
I also had the same procedure privately. (The excess skin made me feel tired, the lids were heavy, reading was tiring).
I had mine under local anaesthetic, surprisingly speedy, stress-free, quick, painless - all very minor. Sutures out (pain-free) after a week and good to go.
I didn’t socialise for the first week, just due to some minor bruising.

Yes this can be done on the NhS. A friend had it done as it was impacting her vision. Day case local anaesthetic

@olympicsrock Thanks that’s really helpful.
@VWT5 Did you consider having it on the NHS?

I've got a GP appointment about this soon, I really want it done as it's making me feel so bloody tired all the time having my eyes being so heavy.

How did you get on OP?
