Help needed! Cutting out caffeine and salt

Hi everyone. I've got suspected Ménière's disease. To reduce my vertigo symptoms, the dr says I've got to cut down on caffeine and salt.

So, I don't drink tea or coffee but I do have Pepsi max and lots of chocolate. So i know how to cut down my caffeine intake, it's just the salt intake that I'm struggling with.

I don't eat a huge range of food. I can't believe how much salt is in even simple things like a slice of brown bread.

So my question is, what snacks could I graze on that are low in salt? I love crisps but will be cutting down on them so what could I replace them with? Anyone done a low salt diet??

I guess you have to avoid processed food, if you make it yourself you can control the salt.
I don't like salt so avoid it when possible. For savoury snacks you could eat nuts. Lots of different nuts available.

Plain popcorn?

I cut out all crisps & wheat snacks. I made stock cubes of my own by making veggie stock and then freezing in an ice cube tray, and I moved to unsalted butter.

That was enough for me, but I usually cook from scratch. I imagine it is harder for convenience foods.

I’m really trying to reduce my salt intake but am failing. I have French salt, oak smoked salt, Maldon’s salt (buy the tub), Himalayan pink (not as salty as the French stuff), salt bricks for the water softener, and dishwasher salt even though we have said water softener. Go figure

I I am keen to buy Iodised salt but I don’t eat pasta anymore and I only used to use it for boiling pasta

oh and I also bought celery salt recently and once I had some seaweed salt (but I may be mistaken)
