Is my injury from last week possibly causing these headaches?

Last week I fell down the stairs and badly hurt my foot. My legs and back were achey too but the main injured area was my left foot. No broken bones, but very badly bruised and swollen, and I'm guessing muscle/ligament strain too.

It's been a week.

I'm still struggling to fully weight bear on my foot but am now hobbling about and driving. The driving hurts as the ball of my foot that goes on the clutch pedal is painful.

Anyway, since driving again from Monday morning I've had headaches. They're very unpleasant! All that's changed is I've had to drive and be more active as I'm back to doing the school runs (2 kids in 2 different schools so drive to both).

Do you think the headaches are like a knock on effect??

What can I do? Other than carry on with ibuprofen. 😔

Sorry to hear that OP! I fell down the stairs last year and similarly badly sprained my foot. It took a full 3 months to be pain free, so healing does take time.

As for the headaches, could be related for sure if you haven't had that previously. Please don't take too much ibuprofen as that can result in rebound headaches. If you're taking it every day that might be happening.

Headaches can be caused by still neck muscles. Which may have occurred from falling or possibly from holding yourself funny because you can't walk properly.

So yes could be related but if they continued I'd get a GP appointment,

Could you afford to try a sports massage first to see if you have knots in your back from the impact?

Stiff not still!
