What do you need interpreting specifically? The last two sentences are all you need to know really. i.E. scan reflects evidence of carbon monoxide poisoning/exposure. Slightly enlarged pituitary gland isn’t anything to worry about as it’s just individual differences.

Specifically, the carbon monoxide exposure may have caused delayed encephalopathy (can Google this for more details but may not be wise to as you should only read info from reputable sources but might struggle to gain much from it if you’re not au fait with the necessary jargon).

Agree with above. I didn't make it past the 2nd year of medical school but I'm guessing that the person this is about has lived in some rather crap housing.

I am looking for an explanation for the interpretations of the 2nd to 4th line pls

What I mean is that the radiologist has already done the interpretation for you - they have summarises the features seen on the scan (in lines 2-4) and then in the subsequent line, they conclude that this is indicative of/matches the clinical picture for delayed encephalopathy caused by carbon monoxide exposure.

Are you questioning whether the radiologist has accurately interpreted the scan? Because if so then nobody can answer that for you without a) seeing the scan themselves (which would involve seeing all the sequences and not just looking at a printout/static image) and b) being a qualified radiologist. From my general understanding, and a quick Google, it does sound as though the features described in lines 2-4 match what you would expect to see in this condition.

Do you have an opportunity to discuss the results with the relevant consultant or similar? It’s not usual practice to give patients/family access to a detailed report without also giving them the opportunity to discuss with an appropriate qualified person and the chance to ask questions etc.

Also the scan results cannot in isolation give you an indication of outcome/prognosis etc as they have to be taken in conjunction with other clinical information and findings. This is what the consultant should be doing for you to give you a better understanding of what the scan results mean for you or your loved one.
