Memory loss - getting me down

I've been told it's all part and parcel of being preg. But it's getting daft now.

We went on holiday for Easter. I did the packing and forgot loads of essentials - including dh's shoes - so he had to buy new ones while we were away. He didn't have the heart to tell me I'd also missed out his jeans and jumper too.

I forget to phone people, do jobs I've said will get done etc, leaving candles lit, sockets on etc.

I do the usual going into a room and forget what I came in for, but on a massive scale.

I lose keys etc etc.

I know dh is getting concerned - more upset than anything actually - he keeps asking me if it's just because I'm pg - with big puppy eyes.

I would be mightily pissed off with me by this stage.

Is there anything I can do to help myself? Any strategies? Diet? Homeopathy type stuff? I'll try anything at this point or I'm going to do some serious damage.

I'm 36 weeks pg btw.

Write everything down.

especially when it comes to packing/shopping/phoning people/jobs to do.

Check everything before you go to bed/go out - going round each room (for lights/candles).

If going into room for something repeat (out loud if necessary) what it is you are going for.

It is incredibly frustrating.

AW bobs mum

Pregnancy brain is no fun.

Have you thought about writing a list, popping on the fridge, adding/crossing off.

Leave off the candles for the moment.

There is no cure for the key losses my baby is now 5 (nearly 6 ) and I still can't find 'em most days.

I had a list for the holiday packing, but as I was following it I did the walking into a room and forgetting thing. FOrgot everyone's socks too - was expensive weekend

Will try the talking to myself thing - can't come across as any loopier really

I have to say things OUT LOUD. It makes me feel like a complete loon but it does save my sanity in the long run.

"I am locking the car/front door."
"I am unplugging my GHDs."
