Faecal calprotectin level

Hi has anyone experienced similar that give any insight into this please.

Had Faecal calprotectin content sample taken and it has come back at 78mg, previous one before this was 53mg but this was in Oct 23.
I am waiting to see gp again and have blood tests coming up in the next few weeks.
Does anyone know what this level could indicate? I am worrying myself so much about it and of course everytime you Google anything cancer always pops up.
My symptoms have been going on since middle of last year but have gotten increasingly worse over the last 2 months. I am experiencing diarrhea every day, usually in the morning 2-3 times, lower abdominal/pelvic pain, very gassy, nausea and just generally don't feel good. My weight has also dropped (unintentionally).
GP doesn't seem concerned and still seems to think it's ibs. Can ibs cause raised Faecal calprotectin levels?
I'm also waiting for results on FIT test.

A faecal calprotectin level of less than 100 will not generally warrant a gastro referral as its not indicative of IBD (crohns/ulcerative colitis). But this test online testing for inflammation and to distinguish between IBS and IBD.

My understanding is that FC doesn't rise with IBS but it does with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) However the levels in IBD are generally very high - mine can get up to over 2000 when I have an IBD flare

Thanks for replying. Yes I had read that levels for ibd are generally over 200, so I am just confused as to what borderline results mean If ibs does not cause raised levels either.
