DD is 12mo. AF returned in December, but they have been coming every 14 or 15 days. I'm on mini pill (micronor)

I'm still feeding twice a day.

This didn't happen after my ds...

Should io go to doctor or just accept it and ride it out?

Very annoying as AF is lasting for about a week so i basically have one week on and one week off!

Your advice greatly appreciaited.

TIA

Same thing here but have had it for 17 months or so. Also bleed after sex,get breakthrough bleeding.

I have no polyps fibroids so it's hormonal they reckon.

I can have endimetrial (sp) ablation or the mirena coil.

Not sure what to do yet. I am still bfing my dd too.

I would go to gp xx

it could be the mini-pill itself. I had a 2 week cycle too and I wasnt breastfeeding. I have now changed to the cerazette mini-pill and have only had about 2 periods in 4 months (common on this pill)

yes, I would.
you may need to adjust your pill, or it might be something else.

i'm scared the doc will advise me to stop bf...

Weequery none of the docs have mentioned having to give up bfing to me xx

harpsichordcarrier · 25/03/2008 15:58

nono there is no reason to stop bf! if he does say that then come back and tell us...

different mini-pills have different active ingredients so can cause different effects re: periods, etc. Maybe try a different one from a different 'family' and see if it helps.

Mini-pills

The different families are:

Group 1 (both identical)

Micronor, Noriday.

Group 2 Femulen. Group 3 Norgeston. Group 4 (the newest)

Cerazette.
