@tothelefttotheleft you need Udderly Smooth cream with 10 percent urea. The nurses give it out for those on Capecitabine which causes foot blisters but you can also get it on Amazon. Flexitol Heel balm is similar stuff too. Try to rest up and not walk too much while the feet are sore.
@youdontneedtopoo the days after chemo I felt like I’d drunk a whole bottle of gin. I think the headaches I had were from dehydration. The knack is not to look ahead too far, stay present, and by the time the next round is due you will be feeling better. Every round is different and you don’t get the same side effects twice in my experience. You don’t need to be brave, just get your scared self up there and let them look after you.
@Shityshitybangbang I am a big fan of low dose amitriptyline. It’s an old fashioned antidepressant that is good for anxiety and nerve pains and works in a low dose of just 10mg to help you sleep. It gives you a slightly dry mouth but nothing much else and isn’t addictive. I much prefer it to SSRIs like sertraline and citalopram. (Ex GP here, not drug user!)
All ticking along here nicely. I’m recovering well from the hip replacement and being unusually well behaved. I’ve joined a tiny leisure club and been swimming/ walking in the pool. I’ve got a burst of hospital appointments coming up so trying not to think about those. Denial is my favourite tactic.
