Really need some advice, so worried ( maybe bit tmi ?)

I am having a Hysteoscopy (sp?) a week tomorrow to have a polyp removed and a look in my womb

For the last 4 months I have, about 5 days before my proper period had light bleeding)

Yesterday I started bleeding, 8 days before due, but it has been really heavy and not 1 period pain , doesn't really feel like Im having my period

But when I went to the toilet there was 2 big splashes, which a presumed were blood clots

today, am still bleeding and just had another big clot, which (Im sorry for the info) I managed to catch it on toilet paper. I have never seen blood clots , but I presume this was huge, not far off the size of a medium hard boiled egg! But flatter and like a thick piece of liver!!

I am really worried, never had them before

I did have a few very small fibroids in my womb but they are so small I presume they couldn't me making me have these clots.

Do I just leave it till the 31st when I have my Hystesoscopy? I go away tomorrow till Thursday

Thanks in advance

Hi annie, wasn't sure if to post or not as don't have any answers, can just offer support. I too pass these clots (albeit usually within AF) and they are frightening. I've never had any pain either but interestingly also had a small polyp when they scanned me a year ago. I must get back to the doctors to investigate but somehow small children always 'get in the way'!
If you are really concerned then can you pop to primary care? It would save you worrying if you're going away. I seem to recall my mum had fibroids and also clots so it could be related. Hope someone with more answers is along soon.

thats interesting that you have had no pain

I have just been reading about blood clots and most people seem to be ina lot of pain when passing them

It feels horrible! but not painful

I know what you mean, at the risk of adding completely tmi spent most of last night awake waiting for the next clot to work its way down. Then ran (with knees together) to the loo to avoid horribly embarrassing leakage. Don't you just love being a woman!
