Does this sound like vertigo?

Woke up in the night and felt incredibly dizzy, room was spinning, my head was spinning, I felt nauseous. Tried to get back to sleep but ended up vomiting. I almost fell over trying to get to the bathroom and I couldn't see straight. After that I still felt as dizzy but I did manage to sleep. This morning I still feel a bit dizzy and lightheaded. Does it sound like vertigo? I've never had it before.

Yes it does sound like vertigo. I get this and it's awful, mine can last for hours and I'm left feeling light headed for days afterwards. I would advise you to see your GP though just to be sure. Mine always starts during the night as well.

I suffer from vertigo quite a bit, its really unpleasant. I found the best thing to do is the Foster Manoeuvre. . As soon as I've done this routine, I feel at least 85% Better. Hope it helps you as much as it helps me!

Yes it does. I have had bouts of this for many years, and have an ongoing prescription it should l need it. l find prochlorperazine tablets help me, though a bad attack can be awful, very disorientating and l am also sick. When it first strikes l find its best to keep your head as still as possible and minimise movement.

Same as above poster, I suffer with it. Normally turning over in bed can set it off and if I do the above head exercises it cures it for me (albeit until the next time).

Could be labrynthitis.
