acupuncture, helped my moods.
failing that, cut out all caffeine, and sugar and do more exercise. hard, but true, ime.

exercise, failing that a brisk walk in fresh air, even for 10 mins, just to clear your head

Magnesium OK tablets. A very noticeable difference where evening primrose didn't touch the sides.

Hi there was a similar message a few days ago. I can totally understand and symptahise with your poor dh! I suffered from horrendous PMT for 2wks before AF (for quite a few years). Found out (by accident) when I gave up tea, then my symtoms practiaclly vanished. Basically the caffeine (or might be tannin can;t remember) blocks the absorbtion of b vits and magnesium (the depletion of these nutrients contributes to the symptoms of PMT) Maybe you can look at your diet and read up all you can about it. I know that others find relief in different remedies so its a case of finding out what works for you. Good luck, I know how AWFUL PMT can be.

Its got much worse recently...must be my age. I do a lot of exercise but am addicted to pint mugs of tea, caffeine seems to be a theme here.

If it's really bad you could always go to your GP and suggest fluoxetine (prozac). I went to mine a few months ago for exactly this reason - he diagnosed mild depression which was exacerbated during my PMT week. I'm on a small dose of prozac and it's worked wonders - I actually don't know when my period is now! Am staying on it for 6 months to see how it goes and then will come off gradually - although if the PMT comes back I'll be straight back to the GP...
