To DS to get mole checked in October. Doctors asked for pics which I sent and said looks fine I wasn't happy insisted they see in person again looks fine keep eye. Which we have then on checking tonight and taking pics it's loads bigger and now jagged on edges. Freaking out like never before feel like I'm gonna be sick with worry. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this change. More of a freckle than a mole in that flat not raised just fyi. Still classed as mole. Ds 2 will be 3 in April.

Replying to follow thread!

we’ve been battling my to get a dermatology appointment to look at dd2 (4) mole-like birthmark. It’s always been quite bumpy but she’s now old enough to explain more accurately when it hurts.

The GP eventually sent us to a different GP who apparently has specialism in dermatology, but she just shrugged and said she’d refer us the hospital to consider a biopsy but it would be a few months as it’s not urgent…. (it’s now nearly nine months later)

Wow that's atrocious!! I was referred myself and had to have one removed; I'd had it for years but suddenly got bigger when I was pregnant. They did a 'within 2 week referral' as those are guide lines apparently for anything like that. Had it removed within two week window. I would push back as much as possible as hard as it can be with nhs. Poor you; must be so stressful. Hope dd4 is ok!!

I figured if they were in the least bit concerned then it would have been quicker!

Its just annoying for her because the position is means it gets caught quite often.

Hope you have better luck getting some answers! I think its always useful to get pictures into medical records so they can assess whether it’s changed
