Flipping heck never had any trouble with my teeth apart from fillings here and there. Today was eating / sucking a hall's soother and my lower molar seems to have broken off at the back right down to the bottom. It's only a small part of my tooth but it's broke right down ( I think) there is no pain or sensitivity (the tooth has a deep filling which does not seem to be affected) I have a dentist appointment tomorrow morning, do you think it will be OK until then ? I've never had any issues before so feeling really anxious and have no idea what to expect. My worst case scenario is they will take it out. I cant bare the thought of having a tooth pulled out !

IME they won't take it out but will offer to repair the molar by manufacturing and fitting a new piece to replace the missing section (sorry I don't know the technical terminology).
I found it wasn't a strong enough repair and it failed twice.
Eventually after the second time I persuaded the dentist to just file away the sharp bits and leave it and it's been no bother for about eight years now.

I broke a bit off a molar on the 7th and have my emergency appointment to repair it next Tuesday! You’ll be fine.

Thanks I know its not life or death but I'm petrified it's going to start hurting. I've just eaten some porridge on the other side of my mouth, fingers crossed will be OK until it gets seen tomorrow. Do you know what treatment your having or will it be the the 1st time someone has looked at it ?

I think if it hasn't started hurting yet then it won't by tomorrow, it may be only the outside part of the tooth without feeling that has broken IYSWIM.

My Mum lost a filling on one of her front teeth last week and had to wait 3 days for an appointment (we were so lucky to get her in to or dentist as she wasn't registered anywhere). She had no pain in that time. Keep eating on the other side and treat it gently until tomorrow.
