Shoulder hydrodilatation - can anyone advise?

Hi - I had this done yesterday on my frozen shoulder, under x-ray. It all went fine (and nowhere near as scary as I expected, and I'm an anxious soul!)

The thing is, I don't really have any increase in range of movement, although the pain seems a bit better. I'm booked in for physio next week and started doing some gentle exercises today and I can't do move much further than before.

If you have experience, do you think it's likely it will free up more over time with exercise and physio? I've got it in my head that it hasn't worked, as a lot of people have better mobility immediately 😔 Thanks for any replies - I know it's only been a day, but stupid anxiety 🙄😁

I had to have it repeated either 3 or 4 times, I can't remember for sure. Did you feel a "pop" of the Capsule?
The only time it worked was when I felt a very obvious popping sensation.
The pain going off is the main thing though. If that has subsided you will be able to mobilise though soon.

Thanks @CupOfCoffeeandaPineappleChunk

No, I didn't feel a pop, but they said that doesn't necessarily indicate success or not. I am glad the pain is a bit better, I'll keep on with the exercises and see what the physio and consultant say. I think I'd just got my hopes up I'd be cured, I'm fed up!

Bumping in case anyone can tell me more experiences!

I have a frozen shoulder. I've had it for 22 months. I had a year of physiotherapy and a cortisol injection. I can lift my arm up to between 9 and 10 O'Clock. When I first went I could only manage between 8 and 9 O'Clock. The pain was a bit better after the injection. I found the day or 2 after the physiotherapy was excruciating. I was crying with the pain. Then it eased up a bit. I use a gel everyday for pain. I've had a scan and there is some damage but apparently not bad enough yet for surgery. I can't take my own top off and struggle to get it on in the first place. DH has to help me get my bra on.

I'm sorry @caringcarer, that's rubbish. It's such a long time to be in pain and limited in movement, so frustrating. The specialist said that he could do an arthroscopy surgery if the hudrodilatation doesn't help, maybe those could be options to explore? From what I can gather the hydrodilatation can be more effective than a steroid injection.
I've also found gel helps the pain, the 10% ibuprofen you can get over the counter in a chemist's. Good luck x
