Is it normal for dermatofibroma to be itchy and have sting pain at times?

Went to derm had it looked at. Said it was dermatofibroma.. smaller than 3mm I believe. Is that normal from them to cause a itchy feeling and ting at times. Especially in cold weather? Anyone with similar experience?
