Blood pressure is normal but pulse is high, especially if you were seated

Theemptydollshouse · 17/01/2024 11:19

The blood pressure's fine. Pulse high - just outside normal range.

You need to take 3 readings leaving at least a minute in between.

Perfect BP . HR fast though.

DRS1970 · 17/01/2024 11:56

From my own experiences, your pressures are ok, but the heart rate is rather high for a resting one. I would get it checked out

BP is perfect!
As others have said, your HR is a little higher than one might expect.
Could be explained by recent exercise, anxiety, caffeine consumption, a mild illness like a cold or a host of other things - mostly harmless.
It's worth keeping an eye on HR though.
Ideally, it should be between about 50 and about 90 while sitting down (5 mins minimum after any exercise, including walking around).
If you often find it's above this then it's worth raising with GP.

aintnospringchicken · 17/01/2024 12:30

Agree with previous posts.BP is normal but your resting HR is slightly elevated.

justasking111 · 17/01/2024 12:37

My BP and heart rate are lower when standing. GP said I'm just one of those people who fall into this area.

White coat syndrome was husbands issue. His Fitbit readings are lower.

I have an oximeter
Its often like 97
Rarely ever below 90

My late Grandads partner is 80 - she and my 60 year old dad get ' better ' readings than me - we discovered that last yr
