CT Colonoscopy- any ideas? Help!

Hello;

Just a bit of background.

Have had piles since having my first child 12 years ago. Back and forth to GP but nothing happened. Creams etc.

Two years ago had another child and they got bad again. Went to GP who referred me to a gastro consultant.

But I have always suffered from bowel issues for a long time. Bleeding, blood clots, pain and different stools a lot of the time.

Had the appointment last November and we spoke re piles but he then asked for family history where I stated my auntie had died of bowel cancer. He wanted me to get a colonoscopy just to make sure my bleeding and bowel issues aren't from something else.

Had colonoscopy but due to my 'loopy bowel' they couldn't get as far as they had liked.

Today I had a CT colonoscopy (unpleasant but not as bad as colonoscopy!).

I wanted to ask if this was normal;

I had one scan laying down on my left side and one on my front. Both they said and told me about beforehand.

Then after I did the front scan (they said that was the last scan) the radiographer came back in and said he'd like to deflate the balloon in my bottom, to have a look around that area.

My concern is; I have had a hard lump on my rectum for a little while now and I just thought it was a pile.

Do they usually deflate the balloon to take a photo? Or was this to check the lump?

I won't find anything out obviously until I see the consultant- I guess a couple weeks?

Any ideas would be great!
