Urgent: what phrases might MAKE GP upgrade my Referral?

I have longstanding mobility problems (deformed bones in both feet, nerve entrapment & entanglement, 6 operations between 2010 & 2018)

In 2019 I was due to have both ankles pinned. Then Covid. Then I was made to start from scratch, going through podiatry for inserts, physio for exercises etc.
I need surgery. I've been on a wait list for 32 weeks now (standard referral) I have another 52 weeks to wait for my 1st appointment. I can't walk properly. I'm in pain. GP said 'you have to expect this at your age'. I am 55 !!!
Last appt she said she would upgrade my referral to urgent. Hosp says not ...

She is Head of Practice.
I cant afford private (assume won't cover as it's an exisiting condition ?

sorry to put 'urgent' in the title but I have an appt tomorrow for bloods results tomorrow first thing. I think I need to write a letter& hand it over then?

I am in Scotland.

Just wondering why the 'ortho podiatrist' didn't refer you themselves.... Surely would have been much quicker.....

@Cattymonster @HiCandles - thanks x

@FixTheBone Perhaps this will be an option. I am due to see them tomorrow.
They said that the inserts 'may not be helpful as, although they will help your feet they may affect your pelvic & spinal problems due to different positioning'

What was interesting was that there was no record of the Xrays I had done in 2018 (A&E in London) which showed quite big heel spurs & 'an old break'.

I have asked for these to be attached to my file in Scotland. Still waiting.

@FixTheBone (& others who have kindly replied)

I saw the Ortho Pod. Not interested in discussing any further Pod involvement.
Wouldnt' look at NHS Xrays I'd had done in London in 2019. A bit odd.
Said I'd had MRI in Scotland (also 2019) which 'superceded the xrays'.
Said he'd looked into it & I wasn't on any waiting list as I'd been okay'd for surgery in 2109 but had cancelled due to health reasons. Normally I'd be put to end of list (& therefore should have come up by now...) but 'you' are off the list entirely - did you DNA for surgery'? I said No - I'd declined surgery at that time due to GP advice (i'd been collapsing for reasons not understood at the time)
He shrugged & said: 'maybe someone doesnt' like you then'? Bizarre...

Anyway he did say that he would put me back on his list (which I must be on to have the appts?) & 'try to catch Ortho Consult next time he's in'. So, I think he is trying to be helpful which I appreciate. But he said the Op I'd been down for was 'Bostram' procedure for weak ankles (news to me, I thought something else from memorry). I think Ortho needs to assess from scratch after nearly 5 years.
Hope I get an appt soon.
