Collarbone lump / lymph node anyone else?

I’m 27 y/o and in 2021, April - I found 2 lymph nodes along my collarbone, one each side.

I have seen a dermatologist who said it was a lymph node and not lipoma but wasn’t concerned, I’ve seen many GPS who wasn’t concerned, but I booked myself in for a private ultrasound (2021) this came back as benign, reactive lymph nodes- finally some peace!
2 years later ( Feb 2023 ) I was concerned as to why they were still there, I saw a private ENT consultant who wasn’t worried and I asked for another scan, privately. The scan confirmed they hadn’t changed and benign. Finally I can put this to bed…

Until… I am 22 weeks pregnant, last Thursday ( 4 days ago ) I had the flu vaccine in my left arm, come the Saturday ( 2 days ago ) I noticed randomly that the left collarbone lymph node has doubled in size - the right is still the same.
I have 0 symptoms otherwise.

i am hoping it’s the flu vaccine and it’ll go back down, I saw my GP today, she said tiny, under threshold and wiggly. she isn’t concerned at all and told me to leave it a few weeks, stop touching it and see if it goes down in a few weeks.

the waiting game feels like forever, so similar stories / stories of reassurance will be fab 🤍

Hi, I have a similar concern , how did you get on?
I noticed my left collarbone lymph node in the new year although my husband said it’s always been like that. I am pregnant so panicked when my GP asked me to wait 2 weeks and arranged a private US which shows it as ‘normal/reactive’ and under 5mm. I went back to my GP with the results and the arranged a follow up 2 weeks later which showed the same result (reassured that it’s been checked my 2 radiographers). My bloods were also all normal.
It’s been a month now and it’s still the same size/feeling. Interesting the first scan I had showed my right hand side ever so slightly bigger but I can’t even feel that one at all!
Maybe I’ve always been like this? I shouldn’t have googled but the search results were pretty scary as I’m sure you’ve discovered 😬

I've had 3 scans now, I had one 2 weeks ago.. which confirmed as like my others was a 2.8mm lymph node. I've got one on each side of my collarbone measuring the same.

It's worrying as google sends me down a rabbit hole; but I've had them 3 years now.. I found them in March 2021 and I've seen multiple consultants and doctors and none have ever been worried. Ive always pushed for a scan x

Glad you have been given that reassurance. The latest from my doctors is an appointment tomorrow as they suggested I should be re-examine as it hasn’t ‘settled’ (as in, I can still feel it, it isn’t tender or anything and never has been). I think given all the medical info I saw about these glands ‘always’ being suspicious if palpable, they’re just being extra cautious. I’m reassured by the 2 ultrasounds and bloods that I’ve had, it’s just worrying that I can still feel it fairly easily a month after noticing it when I was told it should settle in 2 weeks. Mine is 4.4mm which the sonographer said was completely normal just probably reactive. As I mentioned, my husband said he’s certain mine have always felt like that! I’m not sure I’ll ever know for sure..Maybe they are just closer to the surface than the average person!

Your doctors sound very through. I've seen an ENT consultant that specialises in cancerous lumps of the neck and collarbone and he didn't even concerned I can palpate one there, he was like that's not worrying but I can book you a scan for reassurance.

Swollen nodes is the concern, 4.4mm isn't considered swollen.

I can and have been able to feel mine for 3 years as I said, with no changes. I guess it's just part of my dna.

Mine are super wiggly and can jump on and off the collarbone :) which is a good sign
