Does anyone know what this is on my boob please?

Its not really on the areola but at the side of it, touching it I think. It has been there more than 10 months I think but the white crustiness is a bit larger. There seems to be tan looking pigmented area underneath it. I saw the GP nurse a while ago who said it was psoriasis and to go back if it did not go away. I am not too convinced, it does not itch and there is no redness at all, but I am not a doctor so what do I know? I don't have any patches anywhere else like this🤔

Should I make GP phone apt? that is all you do, they do not do inperson apts, I could send them a photo

I do not THINK it is anything to worry about but its there in the back of my mind, I would rather it was taken off and tested tbh but with the NHS being so overwhelmed that is not likely

Has anyone any idea on what it could be, Thanks

Looks fungal to me. Get yourself to the GP.

OldRanter · 29/12/2023 12:37

Thanks, I never thought of fungal

It does not itch and feels hard and crusty😬

Go back and see them again. 10 months is too long to leave it. They can always take a bit and test of its fungal and doesn't go away with treatment

Google Seborrhoeic keratosis pics... some of the pics are 'worse' than others, I developed one of these on my leg but its pretty mild compared to some of them.
I went to the GP a few years ago and was referred to a dermatologist who told me it's benign and nothing to worry about. I just keep it well moisturised

I would go to your GP again for peace of mind. However, I have an almost identical one on the side of my boob. It’s been there for years. I went to the GP when it got more flaky/scabby and they referred me for a mole check. The hospital said it’s seborrheic keratosis. Harmless and common on face, neck and chest area. I’ve since got a few more in those areas.

Can you register with a GP who actually sees patients when it's necessary ( like now)?

Meandmyfeelings · 29/12/2023 14:42

i think it’s Seborrhoeic keratosis too

OldRanter · 02/01/2024 13:47
