Hi all
Couldn't find any relevant threads.
I'm considering getting an electric blanket, I Co sleep with my DC.
We use waterproof mattress protector and then a cotton bedsheet on top.
Can I put all those layers on top of heated electric bedsheet?
I've never had an electric blanket/ sheet before.

Thank you.

Do it the other way round. We have this one:

on top of the mattress protectors. Sheet goes on top of the electric blanket.

You can also get a dual control one if you want to heat your side but not hers.

Thanks @Cheeesus that's the one I was looking at too!

Wouldn't the electric under blanket spoil/is it hazardous if it gets wet?

So I thought to protect it with waterproof bedsheet and then cotton bedsheet for comfort as I dc and I are sensitive

Ours is washable. ☺️
You definitely put a sheet on top though.

How old is the DC? If still young it could an overheating risk, as babies/young children aren't as good at regulating their body temperature.

@Sprogonthetyne hi DC is 5. I've been postponing getting one till now but think now should be safe?

I’d get a dual control one otherwise you’d be putting yours on when they are asleep? You generally put them on before going to bed and then turn off.

Mines under the mattress protector and is fine. If there's potential bed wetting I'd do it that way. It won't damage it to get wet but saves you some washing.
Heated throws are fab too.
