I get itchy legs after I've shaved them. I don't shave them often for that reason. Anyway, they've been itching the last few days and today I've come up in bruising where I've been itching. I wasn't itching particularly hard either! Any ideas on what causes this?

Vitamin k deficiency perhaps

My legs get really itchy and the only thing that works is the palmers lotion with exfoliating acids
It stinks, but it works

Dermographism Urticaria is the term for the skin condition you posted about. If you Google it you'll find lots of helpful info!

Some people post about "Skin Writing". You're not alone!

Hope this helps!

I know this is an old thread but I’m also getting such itchy legs - shins and thighs - that I scratch them enough to cause bruising. I also thought it was shaving related but now I’m wondering about peri-menopause causing the itching as I also get a really itchy back (and night sweats.)

In general I’m tending to bruise a lot at the moment. I have previously had borderline low iron levels and I’ve recently lost weight with mounjaro so think this could all be contributing.

Off to see the doctor about oestrogen at the end of the month (already have a progesterone coil).

Would love to know if anyone got to the bottom of the issue.
