Losing my hair

This was from one wash, however it's the same for every wash. The doctors won't do anything for me. I literally have a pony tail the thickness of my little finger (which is like a string bean).

I don't know what to do since the doctors won't help me.

Considering a buzz cut to make me even more repulsive than I am already, but losing this much hair each time I was is out of control.

I must add my hair sheds everywhere. I scared of brushing 'cause so much comes out.

What can I do?

Look into HRT

The reason your hair is falling out is because your gut microbiome is inflamed and you can’t absorb all the nutrients you need to keep your hair follicles with enough energy to sustain growth.

You need iron infusions which shows you have malabsorption issues.

It won’t be only iron you’re not absorbing it will be many other vitamins besides.

This is a long quite scientific article about why hair loss is often to do with the microbiome. More than likely you’ve got raised cytokines running around in your blood because your gut bacteria don’t make enough short chain fatty acids.

Nourkin may or may not switch on some of your bacteria again. It’s hard to say.

Id suggest you to the Zoe Nutrition program. Get a gut test. Find out what pathogen overgrowth bacteria you have inside you (you definitely have some) and then start to work out how to crowd them out.

Id suggest some probiotics for you but you sound so dysbiotic that I’d worry it would make you worse.

The gentlest I can think of is Bifido and Fibre from Optibac.

This will help you make some short chain fatty acids and protect your gut lining, stop the cytokines attacking your hair follicles.

It is transient though and won’t colonise your gut so you’d need to keep taking it.

i take it every day for this reason.

I also use Nizoral shampoo from boots to block DHT, the male androgen that increases in menopause and is responsible for female pattern baldness. And males too..

Boots does their own cheaper version but check the active ingredient is the same. Ketakonzole.

in this article she suggests a probiotic with lactobacillus in it but it may make you swell up. I couldn’t take it because I was too dysbiotic. Stick to bifidobacteria only. They don’t produce histamine.

I also worked hard on my vitamin B levels. I used floradix but presumably you can’t? You need a good b vitamin but check methylation issues and get the one that is more easily absorbed. You likely have methylation issues.

Doing all this means I now have about one inch of new growth where my hair was falling out. I have had two of the most stressful years of my life. DM died slowly of stage 4 cancer.

Im not on any HRT, I can’t take it.

Have you had your bloods checked? Ferritin should be around 70-100 for hair growth. If low you could take iron supplements.

what measurement unit for the ferritin level please?
