I am sooo fed up with constipation ! I have not had a BM in 14 days!! I had diarrhoea on Sunday but no Bm and again this week nothing! Feel so horribly bloatedEnvy my doctor prescribed bisacodyl (Dulcolax) but read some reviews online and I'm kinda a bit scared.. I've tried senokot but it didn't work so Dulcolax is my last resort.. just wondering if anyone had any good experiences on Dulcolax 🙈

Made me crampy a bit like period pain but works! Hope you get some relief!

Prunes. Eat 100g today, 200g tomorrow, etc. until you feel relief.

I tried dulcolax once - didn't work in the suggested timeframe, but I woke up about 3-4am the following day and had a horrible time for several hours. Did the job but I'd never ever take it again! It definitely try a more natural method first like PP has suggested with prunes or similar, but that's just after a bad experience.

IME Dulcolax is good for those situations where you have not had a bm in several days. It can be quite violent/ immediate when it kicks in, especially if you are not an habitual user.
For longer term use , if needed, Laxido is more gentle. But given it’s been 14 days, I would take the Dulcolax

I’ve tried Ducolax taken before bedtime and around 3.30/4 am I started getting cramps and went to toilet, back in bed then 10 minutes later needed to go again and repeat again throughout the morning. I then tried Duco Ease which I found better, only needing to go once in the early morning.

It's definitely not your last resort but it's a good one to try. It may be a bit violent but at least you'll be sorted.

It's great so long as you don't have to go anyway. I usually double dose to clear out well. And it will take several hours to get off the loo

Ok so this might be a bit graphic, apologies in advance.

Bisacodyl is a bowel stimulant, so it will get your bowels moving and will push any stools that are in there out by force. If you’ve not opened your bowels for 14 days there’s likely to be a fair bit of dry, hard stool in there. If that is the case, passing that stool could be quite sore. In your shoes, before I took the bisacodyl, I’d use something to soften the stool that is already there, so that it isn’t painful to pass when you take the bisacodyl. A good option would be a couple of glycerin suppositories, which you can get over the counter.

Also I agree with other posters above that once you’ve solved the immediate problem, you want to prevent it happening again so eating lots of fibre/staying hydrated/keeping mobile and if necessary, using something like Laxido as a preventative would be good.

Laxido would be my choice too.
Sort of pulls water into the colon so it softens hard stool that has been there for a while
