I am waiting for my first dentist appointment since covid- I’m terrified of the dentist and had the perfect excuse not to go once covid came and haven’t braved it since! I’m pretty certain I will need 2 teeth dealing with- I’m probably thinking 2 root canals and caps (I’ve had this done before). How does the NHS pricing work? Caps are top band but would that be priced per tooth or could I have both done for that price? I know I’m speculating but wanting to have an idea how it works before I go x

I believe you would get everything done on the top band.

I've had 3 filling needing done after covid and just paid a band 2 cost for everything

Check up, dental Xrays, simple scale all comes under band 1 £25.80

Fillings, Root fillings, more complex scaling and extractions are band 2. £70.70

Crowns, Bridges and Dentures are band 3 £306

Banding is per course of treatment, not per tooth.

if one tooth needs a crown or denture, it will cost £306 and if you needed 5 crowns and 2 dentures, it will also cost £306 xxx
