I never know when to take them. With 3 kids, and other non-ilness things as well like health checks, skin infections etc I feel like I'm always boody at docotrs. I honestly feel embarassed phoning up - "it's me again " I feel like I'm there so much I now avoid going...
But possibly at their expense? eg ds3 had temp of 40 ish for 3 days before I phoned last time. Then I drive myself mad, should I have gone earlier? Or not at all (2 days later he was fine, so I kick myself that I didn't just sit it out)
Ds1 (8) now a bit ill. He's had (not very high) temperature since Friday. The calpol has been dealing with it. And cough, and on-and-off sore throat. Today however, while his temp seems normal, or only a teeny bit high, he's had bouts of pain that've made him cry a lot. Can't quite decide if he means his sinuses (nose area) he says it's inside, not the skin surface, but seems to be more nostrils than where I would've thought he'd be pointing if it was his sinuses. Now he's crying that his throat is very painful He doesn't usually cry. He's now napping. So, do I look like neurotic mum and phone doctor, or do I ride this one out?
And what is your rule of thumb for doc visits.
