Evening- will be taking the dog out after this so may not really till later on. But I managed to chip a bit off the back of a tooth earlier today & swallowed it. It didn't & doesn't hurt. I have eaten, had hot & a cold drink & brushed my teeth all as normal. I am terrified of the dentist & as it doesn't hurt I don't feel I should go. Would you go? I am so am very poor so even though I am very lucky to have a nhs dentist I couldn't afford any more than a hundred pounds to sort it. Sorry for manky mouth picture- it's not that clear either.

You need to make an appointment with your NHS dentist-ring them tomorrow and tell them you've broken a tooth.
It probably just needs re-filling in which case it'll be band 2 price £70.70. Unless it needs a crown etc and then it'll be £306 ish. Get it sorted before it becomes a bigger issue.

Thank you- I did email them today explaining what happened & they were lovely. Happy to leave it & see how it goes, any problems I can ring for an emergency appointment.

It might not need anything though. I chipped a molar recently. Dentist simply took an x-ray and said nothing needs doing for now.

I did this a while ago, food was getting stuck in it so although it didn’t hurt the dentist just put some filling in, no drilling, no machinery, just some filler on a spatula thing
