have looked at symprove, but it’s quite pricey… any other recommendations which are a bit cheaper ? A one off purchase is £40 odds. Thanks

Not all probiotics are 'trustworthy' for various reasons, but these have been recommended to me by a dietician;

Biocare Bioacidophilus or Replete.
VSL#3 (but it's very expensive).

A friend had good results from Optibac which she used alongside a low FODMAP diet.

I have tried quite a few probiotics in my time, and found that the cheap ones just didn't cut it. I needed to spend upwards of £80 to get results. I'm guessing part of the cost might be the system which gets them to survive your stomach acid and still 'dissolve' in your large intestine.
But obviously it is theoretically possible that there's an effective cheap product out there, so hopefully someone will recommend something that works for you.

What are you needing them for? Obviously different products contain different strains.

Alflorex suit me best. I've tried symprove and many others, but alflorex is the only one that helps my ibs. Recommended by the ibs network
