Health in your 50s.. expectations ?

I'm 53 and have noticed especially during this year I've had a series of health problems. Some minor / shortlived, a couple more severe. Basically it feels like there hasn't been a week in 2023 where I've not had some item or other. THings such as - severe headache; diarrhoea; UTIs; a tooth problem; thrush; migraines; hearing loss (turned out to be partially wax build up in the ear and partially that hearing has actually worsened); knee problem; rosacea; sleep problems.

For "normal" people, e.g. not athletes or the very rich, is this just simply the way that life is once into the 50s / 60s ? Or have I had a very unlucky year ?

What would your expectations be of "normal health" in your 50s ?

There's a lot of luck involved. I was always active, fairly slim but then in my late 30s slipped and fell, fracturing my back and hip. It's led to a cascade of other mobility problems and issues with my legs and feet eg tendons, soft tissue damage. Then the first time I had Covid I was left unable to walk to the end of the drive so I had to build up my capacity again.
I exercise every day. I eat healthily but there isn't a day where something doesn't ache.

57 and if it wasn't for my chronic insomnia I'd be in fine fettle. Fit and as active as the awful tiredness allows. Slim. It's really not fair. I really am a paragon. decent diet, walk long distances, play tennis, garden. Barely drink. But energy on the floor. I really have to force myself through my activities
And no, i can't take HRT. I tried and it made me bleed and led to regular hysteroscopies which were a nuisance.
However I'm about to start a sleep course, so let's see.

Sorry to hear about so many other people who are having versions of health problems and wishing you all improvements!

Having picked up yet another UTI it seems, off to the GP surgery again.

Thanks to someone who mentioned Dr Chatterjee, I've signed up with his website which looks to have a lot of helpful stuff to read.
