Motion sickness at water/theme parks

I started suffering from seasickness about 20 years (when I was in my early 30s) so now, when I'm on holiday, I just avoid any boat based trips.

We really enjoy water parks, but if I go on any rides backwards (sometimes it can't be helped!), I feel ill for the rest of the day. Same with theme parks - some rollercoasters are OK, but I can't go on any rides with 'swooping', in the dark or those that go backwards, even if it's only got a few seconds.

I did try some motion sickness tablets when I was at Disney, but they made me feel so tired, I fell asleep on a bench 😬.

Does anybody have any suggestions, please?

Sturgeon tablets and seabands.

swear by them for the Orlando theme parks 😊

No suggestion but I feel your pain. I get really bad motion sickness, on the tram, on the bus, if I sit backwards, in the car, on a boat the list goes on haha. I have anti sickness tablets on prescription from the GP!
