4 yr old's very bright green pooh - cause for concern or caused by Tardis cake?

Apologies in advance for tmi! My ds is very proud of the enormous and extraordinary coloured turd he produced this afternoon. So much so that he demanded Dh and I should come and examine it with him. It was bright light green on the outside and a normal healthy looking chestnutty brown inside. He is well, has no digestive problems and no pain - but he did eat a piece of Dr Who birthday cake yesterday afternoon with quite violent blue icing. What do you think?

If he's not unwell I wouldn't worry too much. Just keep an eye on him, certainly unusual!!

lol

who poked it open?

(I'd have money on the cake)

The icing. Ds does great scary poos after beetroot. Dh always thinks he has intestinal bleeding.

definitely the cake
my ds2 pooed electric blue play-doh after attending a thomas the tank engine party and partaking excessively of the icing (went round nicking it off other people's plates).

it was horrifying
until I remembered the icing
then it was hilarious

icing!
I once had similar after eating far too many blue raspberry wands

Yep, blame the cake. My dd had a blue birthday cake once and pood green poos. I panicked until everybody else at the party told me they had the same thing!

Cheers for the reassurance. Didn't deliberately poke it open to examine the insides but .... (and look away now if your squeamish)... it was so huge the end broke off as it hit the toilet bowl giving us a good view of the innards.

I actually saved a poo years ago to show my friend who is a nurse- then DP told me DD1 had eaten a blue iced cake the day before...

I wrapped it up in a babywipe and presented it to her, almost reverently.

Maybe M&S should put a warning on the cake box!
