Elevated calcium levels

Santa01 · 26/10/2023 17:43

Got the results from some routine blood tests back today and my calcium came back as 2.68, which I think is 10.7.

I am on calcichew, just wondering if this may skew the results as I didn't mention it to my nurse when I was getting the bloods done.

Any help appreciated as I am freaking out. No other symptoms.

Thanks 👍

I’m assuming the calcichew is prescribed so they should know? Maybe phone and ask if you should continue taking it.

Mild hypercalcaemia is an adjusted serum calcium concentration of 2.6–3.00 mmol/L. Moderate hypercalcaemia is an adjusted serum calcium concentration of 3.01–3.40 mmol/L.
