Dear all

this follows on from previous thread about DC who had chicken pox, DS then had an irritable hip and horrific temperature spikes and this has all been going on for the last 6 weeks. All are currently having naps as are exhausted but it has been a very chilled out Sunday thus far.

DC take an age appropriate vitamin tablet each day as does DH. DS is a fussy eater and has an aversion to all things veg or fruit like but eats fish, chicken, all dairy, bread, pasta etc and has fruit smoothies DD will generally eat most things and gets loads of fruit and veg.

We are on a 12 hour flight in just over a week so does anybody have any ideas to get them all well again? Any help gratefully received. Thank you.

No advice smurfs sorry, but you have my sympathy! My dd is poorly at the moment and lethargic/sleeping all the time, it is crap. Hope they are all better next week for your flight.

Thanks Scoobi6, just have to get through it.

lots of fruit juice! Are you going anywhere sunny? (usually 12 hrs form uk means sun of course) Cos the vit D from sunshine should boost them all pretty damn quick

Also probiotic yoghurt if anyone has been on anti-bs.

Get well soon, to your family

Tickle, thank you for the suggestion I am hoping that the sun should make them all look less pasty and give them a spring in their step again. We are going to S.Africa but I am not looking forward to the flight with a 4.5 year old and a 2.5 year old

Get them each a rucksack for the flight, with small colouring books & things for them to do that they have never seen... then sort out a rota with DH so that you take turns looking after both kids - say 2 hrs each. That means you should each get a bit of sleep on the journey (without feeling guilty!) and should arrive alive a bit refreshed

where are you going any where nice.\perhaps you could talk to them on the plane telling them what a great time they will be having. If it a long haul flight they usally have T.v. on which do think of childrens needs for like cartoons ect.also take their fav toy etc like a comfort blanket etc.Hope you have a great time.
