Hi everyone, I don't tend to get blisters so unsure of this is normal but I got some new shoes and now I'm left with a horrible oozy blister, it doesn't feel hot or red around it but when I take my plaster off it's got yellowy pus? Not sure if this is normal or not?😂 I hope I don't sound dumb here. I've attached an image of it below, just watched with salt water and attached another plaster (compeed) sorry for my horrible toe lol

Does the yellow mean it's healing? It's not hot or anything

Anyone? Don't want to call docs if it's not needed, I read yellow ish can be a sign of healing

Initially I was going to suggest magnesium sulphate paste as it's a drawing ointment but from your pic it looks like an already open wound.

The yellow liquid isn't pus ( it's usually opaque) so I'm assuming it's plasma ( I think) which is the healing substance.

It looks very sore OP and it's in a very tricky place but I'd be tempted to smear a bit of germolene and put a plaster on when you need to wear shoes etc..

Otherwise leave it open to air and it will dry out.

I'd cover it with a hydrocolloid dressing/plaster. Helps keep it moist and clean and helps healing. Ouch!

That’s just serum, not pus. Put a hydrocolloid dressing on it - follow the instructions carefully, and leave it in place for up to a week or until it leaks/falls off. If it gets very red, swollen, very sore or you can see pus (greeny-yellow coloured opaque fluid, usually a bit smelly), then ask the Pharmacist or your GP Practice Nurse for advice.

Yep this ^^ you have to leave blister plasters on until they fall off!

Thanks! I actually changed it because it fell off when I took a shower (was only on for 8 hours, so I replaced with a new one, very sore though! Hopefully it heals soon, nightmare!
