15 month old's poo

My DS started doing really soft, stinky, orangey poos a couple of months ago and I assumed he had a bit of a tummy upset and that it would sort itself out. It hasn't, and I'm wondering what could be causing it. He's otherwise in good form apart from teething (which might explain it perhaps). Should I be getting him checked out?

Have you started giving him cows milk? DS has had lots of diarrhea over the past few months but cutting out cows milk seems to have helped

Yes, I have. He still gets a BF a couple of times a day, but he has been getting cow's milk at other times. I'll try cutting it out for a day or two and see if it helps. Should I be thinking of an alternative to cow's milk? I'm not keen to start increasing the BF now.

Thanks shreddies. Is your DS OK with yoghurt? My DS eats lots of it. I wonder if that could be it.

uberalice - oat milks a good alternative to cows milk, you can get it with added calcium. IMO soya milk has too much sugar.

Teething can send poos mental! Dd's poos went like a mousse while she teethed for a while, if fit and well otherwise chances are its the teeth!

Yes, yoghurt is fine, but now I give him bio live stuff with some honey in, rather than petit filou which he virtually inhales. Probiotics are good for upset stomachs.

My HV who is very good also said avoid soya milk, as too sugary.
