I had this spot. I don't know if it's a mole or not. I've had it for 3 years.

It hasn't changed in color or size. It doesn't itch. Now I see there is something like a crust, I felt my heart beating in my head!

Get to the doctors to get it checked. It might be nothing or it might be something, but you'll drive yourself mad if you don’t go. If they are concerned you’ll get it treated and I’m sure be fine, if they aren’t then it’ll put your mind at rest Flowers

I've got something like this. It's been there months or possibly years as an unobtrusive mole type thing but has suddenly become big, raised and crusty. GP says its a seborrheic keratosis which is harmless.

Just get yourself a GP appointment so you can be sure whether it needs treatment or not.

Also just to say that both my mum and aunt have both recently had cancerous lesions diagnosed and all they've had to do is put a particular cream on it which has made it go away so even if it isn't benign it's not necessarily a big scary health problem!

Do you think I don't want to see a dermatologist? 💔
I was supposed to go in August and then they postponed the date to November!!

I don't understand why your mother and aunt put cream on skin cancer, when they knew it was a cancerous mole?!

I don't understand why your mother and aunt put cream on skin cancer, when they knew it was a cancerous mole?!

Because there are special creams that treat skin cancer topically.

The chemotherapy drug fluorouracil (5FU) comes in a cream called Efudix. You spread the cream on your skin. This is called topical chemotherapy. It treats the cancer cells where you apply it.

Because there are forms of skin cancer that are treated with 'chemo cream', the treatment is managed by medics, it is not the sort of skin cream you can buy over the counter.

I hope you're feeling reassured by these responses. Your replies come across as being rather snippy which I assume is because you're stressed about it. You could pay to have it looked at for a shorter wait perhaps.

Go to your GP first, Dh had something similar and was told immediately it wasn't anything to be concerned about.

I am sorry if I offended anyone! I don’t deny that I was very afraid. The idea of cancer spreading throughout my body terrifies me. I also have health anxiety. Anything that seems to threaten my health makes me not think rationally

Thank you all for your interest, it means a lot to me 💐
Yesterday, before taking a shower at night, I checked my body as usual. There was nothing. I don’t know how anything could change in Just one night. It made me think about everything I did; I couldn't help but think about the bath sponge. I bought it recently and it was hard to use. Maybe I scratched it. I don't know. ! I hope that
