Atrial fibrillation

Hi I am 29 years old and I have atrial fibrillation. It was discovered when I was intensive care in a coma. My question is, would I have to be on blood thinners for life (edoxaban 60mg)
I also had a blood clot and stenosis on my left brachialcephalic vein (secondary from a tesio line)
Thanks

Best bet is to talk to your medical team/anticoag clinic. It’s a relatively uncommon problem for a 29yr old & your history sounds complicated. No one here’s going to be able to help much. (Doi: former icu doc)

Thank you. I'm not in constant AF (proxysmal). I was obviously on the injections whilst bedbound in ICU for 8 weeks but when I arrived on a medical ward (after I had my tracheostomy removed) they informed me I had AF and put me on edoxaban but I was still quite delirious and didn't really understand. Getting info out of my GP about the matter is like getting blood out of a stone. I did see the cardiologist as O/P he didn't say either but has referred me for a MUGA scan as my troponin levels were 8000 at one point and he cannot rule out a heart attack or the sepsis.
Unfortunately I do not see anyone at the anti coagulation clinic but I do have regular blood tests to keep an eye on what dosage I should be on. It could be reduced if my eFGR goes under 30 ( currently 53)
I got celultis from a femeral line (which got CLABSI) and it then developed quite quickly to NF and then sepsis and then end stage kidney failure hence the tesio line and then the blood clot.
I suppose I was just looking for anyone else that does suffer from AF and what their medication regime is. - it's worth mentioning I am on bisoporol also and suffer from prinzmetal angina.
So yes - complicated history 😂😂
