I eat lots of fruit and veg and beans and pulses (lots of fibre basically) and I drink lots of water. Yet I’m always constipated!! Why? What could it be?

The beans and pulses will do it, or possible some of the veg. Look at fodmaps.

Reporting back after two very successful poop days after making lots of changes suggested here! I don’t know which worked - or a combination - but in case anyone has the same!!

-Started taking magnesium and b12 supplements
-Moved one of my child’s old stools into the bathroom for optimal “position”!
-Started eating kefir or kimchi every day (mostly kefir for breakfast with the odd bit of lunch with kimchi)
-For breakfast I either have flax seeds or chia seeds with fruit and kefir and nuts and dates
-Moving around a bit more!
-Having an orange and tumeric and pepper juice for breakfast every morning

And that’s it! Not sure if they’re all right, or which one tipped me over the edge. But letting anyone know who’s also struggling!

Congratulations!! Just coming on to say that a glass of prune juice just before bed usually does the trick for me, another one before breakfast if needed. I don't particularly like it but it works.
