Need advice about teeth implants

Due to an accident years ago I have very few top teeth, and wear a partial denture. I am planning on getting implants. My dentist told me that they no longer offer implants where the teeth are attached directly to the bone, but instead click into a frame that is attached to the bone. Is this normal practice now? It essentially means I will still have to take my teeth out to brush them so what is the point?

If you only have a few teeth missing then they can be individually attached to implants.

However when you have many/all teeth missing there is not enough bone left to be able to orientate that many individual implants. So instead only a few implants are placed where the bone is at its best and an all on four or similar framework is placed.

Abroad they often place the framework permanently which means it is impossible to clean underneath and since the main reason implants fail is because of gum disease then it's a disaster waiting to happen.
Much better when replacing many/all teeth is to be able to take the superstructure /denture out to clean and maintain.

People who have struggled with partial or complete dentures find implant retained dentures or all on four type replacements much, much easier to adapt to , eat and speak than conventional dentures.

Thanks, that has put me at ease.
