My 20 months old baby has a condition called 'pigeon chest'. Is there a special diet, exercises we should do to help her?

don't know lena but bumping this for you. Is it hereditary?

think you should talk to your doc.

Hi Lena, another name for this is pectus carinatum. I might be wrong here, but as your daughter's chest is a different shape I don't think that diet or exercise will help.

My daughter's chest dips in (pectus excavatum) as part of a genetic condition. The doctors are keeping an eye on her back, as any abnormality in the chest can make the spine curve if it's bad enough.

Thanks for this. We did went to see the doctor who finally told me what that was. (I have been asking them for a while telling them that her ribs really 'flare' out at the bottom. Did not know about the spine but she does seem to 'hunch' quite a bit. I now know that it is hereditary (thanks to dh...) and was wondering if swimming etc will help to strengthen her frame and thus help in general.
