Just a quickie..my 14 month old son has the squits and it's really pale beige and STINKS!! Do I need to worry? It seems to have been drilled into me that poo should not be pale.....TIA!

No worries. Little peoples' pooh is almost always beige, unless they've eaten beetroot or been drinking red wine.

Squits always stink .. that's a given. But the colour is find and as it should be.

Yes, pooh is generally brown, and it takes variant shades of (isn't this funny, talking shit past midnight?), but toddlers don't eat a lot of dark brown stuff. They're not big red meat eaters, for instance.

My boy is now 3.4, and he has a very varied diet, but his pooh is very light brown, generally. I wouldn't call it beige, but if your ds has a bug, it will be watered down, and probably, as shiny has pointed out, coated in some fat.

I hope he gets better soon

Hehe, I'm in New Zealand so it's afternoon here. I'm not as crackers as all you lot (I promise!)

I'm sure you are bonkers, Haribo. You're just in a different hemisphere

Haribosmum · 03/03/2008 07:48

Well yes, it IS debatable!
