DS wakes up with red marks on his eye/eyebrow every morning. Looks like little grazes, then they just slowly disappear. Any ideas what it could be?

sorry but HAHAHAHAHA @ "NO BATS"

RudyDudy · 15/12/2004 11:33

is it how he's been lying? I know it probably sounds stupid but if my DS has been lying on his face and the sheet is creased beneath him it can leave really strange red marks on his face.

or...does he rub his eyes as he is waking up? could it be superficial scratches from that?

nailpolish · 15/12/2004 11:33

have no idea. maybe hes rubbing his eyes? my dd's do that in their sleep all the time. have you checked his nails to see if they need trimmed?

OnZephyrstdayofXmas · 15/12/2004 11:35

i had to sd - i got about 7 people with the last thread but no-one would talk to me!!!!!

He sleeps on his back all the time. He does rub his eytes a bit but its the same shape/size marks in the same place every morning! They're only small - but it looks like a little round red graze. Very strange!!

could it be off one of his toys he's been holding? have any of them anything sharp on them, like the eyes...??? (as you can probably tell no idea really but trying to think of something!)

Just a thought, but did he have stork bites there when he was born? When dd's stork bites began to fade, they were still apparent in the morning or when she'd been crying, but would then lessen during the day.

OnZephyrstdayofXmas · 15/12/2004 11:59

i've only noticed them recently - will look at his just born pics and check - but that is the kind of thing that they look like

(stork bites are like the little red marks some children get on the back of their necks isn't it?)

zeph, i think thats right. dd2 has one but its more purplish

OnZephyrstdayofXmas · 15/12/2004 12:46

what are they - are they birth marks or something that just comes and goes?

It's not eczema is it, my DD had it and it was worse when the central heating had been on and would come and go?

nailpolish · 15/12/2004 13:03

dd2 has one on her neck that will be covered with hair eventually. mum says i has one too but disappeared, she cant remember when
