Can anyone explain these results to me?

I’ve recently had blood tests looking at various things as I’ve been unwell for weeks and just feel so fatigued, aching, suffering from severe headaches and dizziness. Everything has come back as within normal ranges or just below. The thyroid function test is as follows - TSH level 1.2 ml U/L & T4 level 23 pmol/L
I have looked online where it suggests this T4 level is indicative of hypothyroidism but my GP surgery have said it’s within normal ranges and there is no further action. I can’t actually get an appointment to speak to a doctor about my ongoing general unwellness until mid September and the receptionist said the tests are all fine so they won’t bring my appointment forward.
I have got myself quite confused looking online and just wondered if anyone with more knowledge could explain? Thank you.

Were B12, vitamin D and ferritin tested and were they lower end of normal or below? They can all cause the symptoms you are suffering too.
I’m asking because you can be really symptomatic when at the low end of normal for lots of things the dr will mark you as ‘normal’ for.
You really need the labs reference ranges in relation to your tests and results to work out what’s going on.

Thank you. All of these were also tested and within normal ranges.

I hate these guidelines.. what is normal for one person isn't necessarily the same for another.
GPs do not know enough about all these blood results and go by NICE guidelines.
I went private for my B12.
GP said was normal.
I now SI b12 every week ( you can't overdose ..any extra you pedantic out) .. my health/ fatigue/ aches/ mouth ulcers 5 BV/ even Fibromyalgia has greatly improved.. more than l could have imagined...
Having vitamins won't hurt until you see a GP.
Vit D.
Magnesium.
Folic acid.
B12 ( high dose tablets).
Will all help.
Good luck.

Thank you. All of these were also tested and within normal ranges.

But I was explaining you can be within normal range but still be very unwell.
Ferritin needs to be above 80 to support healthy hair growth so you could feel really unwell if it’s only 20 yet that is classed as normal. Even nice guidelines say you should be given a prescription under 30 yet Drs mark labs as normal when they are below that.
B12 can be marked as normal at 150 but uk levels are set ridiculously low so you can still suffer symptoms in the normal range. You could feel amazing if you paid for a couple of b12 injections at an aesthetics place.

I think it would be a mistake to focus on thyroid when a whole combination of other low end results could be causing your issues but are easily treatable.
Vitamin D is marked as normal at 50 yet it needs to be over 75 to offer bone protection and you can still feel unwell around 50.

Yes, thank you and sorry for my quick reply! I really appreciate that info and will give it a proper read alongside my results. I do supplement iron, B12 and D. I will get a higher dose B12. I will look into B12 injections as that’s what I initially thought might be the problem. Thanks again.
