Not Appendicitis so what else could it be?

I have had pain in my lower right abdomen constantly for the last 48 hours. I was referred to emergency care by the GP and they ruled out appendicitis and referred back to GP.
It's a while before I can get another GP appointment so left in pain and worried about what else it could be. Has anyone experienced similar and had a definite diagnosis ?

Friend of mine just had appendicitis "ruled out" and three days later had a burst appendix. Watch yourself (and tell your household) for any danger signs of infection or sepsis and go back to A&E if you need to!!
